    FBLA Competitive Events Entry

    FBLA Competitive Events 2005-06

Recently, three Dade County High School students completed their entry in the Web Site Development area of the FBLA's Competitive Events Program.

Melanie Breedlove, Katie Scott, and Hannah Turnmire worked to design a web site focusing on the Trenton/Dade County community (including information on businesses, education, recreation, tourism, along with basic facts concerning the area). There are also some photos of the local area on the See Dade portion of the site.

The three students worked under the guidance of Mrs. Lori Moore and Mrs. Pamela Barton to complete this project. All three girls are members of the high school's Web Design class.

Since the competition is currently in progress, the site cannot be updated at this time. However, there are plans for the site to move to a more permanent location on the web as soon as judging is completed.

The site can be located at http://www.dadecountyschools.org/dadecounty. Check out the site and leave your comments on the contact page.

"FBLA-PBL's National Awards Program recognizes and rewards excellence in a broad range of business and career-related areas. Through state-based competition at the spring State Leadership Conferences, students compete in events testing their business knowledge and skills. Top state winners are then eligible to compete for national awards at the National Leadership Conference each summer."

The FBLA can be found at http://www.fbla-pbl.org.
