Ivey Fidelibus Reads 309 Books Davis Elementary School's Ivey Fidelibus has been named the school's top reader for this school year. Ivey, who has read a total of 309 books, is in Mrs. Gibson's 4th grade class at Davis.

	Brittany New - Governor's Honors Finalist for 2008 Congratulations to Brittany New (DCHS 10th grade student) who was selected as a Governor's Honors finalist for 2008. Becca Jones was selected as an alternate.
	It's CRCT Time Again Across the State of Georgia Dade Elementary's youngest students paraded through the halls of the school last Friday carrying signs, cheering, and playing instruments to encourage the first through fifth graders to do well on the CRCT that will be administered this week.
	DCHS Football Team Competes at Region Weight Lifting Meet Members of the Dade County High School Football Team recently competed in the Region Weight Lifting Meet. Scoring 31 points, the team took 2nd place out of the 33 teams represented at the event.
	DMS Students Participate in 6th Grade Statewide Honor Chorus On February 1, 2008, three sixth grade students from Dade Middle School traveled to the Clayton County Performing Arts Center for the two-day 10th Annual Sixth Grade Statewide Honor Chorus in Jonesboro, Georgia.
	Dade Takes 1st Place at 2008 Region 7-AA Literary Events On Tuesday, March 4, 2008, Dade County High School students competed in the Region 7-AA Literary Events Meet at Pepperell High School in Rome, Georgia.
