It's CRCT Time Again Across the State of Georgia

Dade Elementary's youngest students paraded through the halls of the school last Friday carrying signs, cheering, and playing instruments to encourage the first through fifth graders to do well on the CRCT that will be administered this week.

The CRCT will be given to all Dade County first through eighth grade students on April 21st-25th. These tests will be taken by students throughout Georgia and will serve to help evaluate the academic progress of students as well as the different school's curriculum and educational programs.

The CRCT is designed to measure how well students acquire the skills and knowledge as described in the Quality Core Curriculum (QCC) and Georgia Performance Standards (GPS).

Testing Tips for Success:

  1. Encourage your child to do his or her best on the test.
  2. Realize that putting too much pressure on your child about testing may cause test anxiety.
  3. Talk to your child about how he or she feels about taking the test.
  4. Ensure that your child gets a good night's sleep and a healthy breakfast each morning of testing.
  5. Express a posititve attitude to your child.
  6. Arrive in plenty of time for your child to get comfortable in his or her class.
  7. Reschedule all appointments that interfere with the testing schedule.
