FCCLA News - 4 R Kids Sake

Several members of the Early Childhood Education (ECE) class at Dade County High School taught awareness of child car safety by designing a bulletin board and selling purple ribbons for students and teachers to wear. August was "Purple Ribbon Month."

This project was in memory of Kaitlyn Marie Russell and all the children that have lost their lives to preventable injuries in and around cars.

This educational/awareness campaign was in conjunction with 4 R Kids Sake, a non-profit organization in Corona, California.

Vicki Seymour, from "First Steps" works with new Dade County mothers and fathers at Hutcheson Medical Center. She spoke to the ECE class and helped distribute materials.

All the money raised by Ms. Cayce's students will go directly to help buy supplies for Dade County parents and babies.
