Leslie Thompson - All-State Band
DCHS Junior, Leslie Thompson, has earned a spot in the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) All-State Honor Band.
Leslie placed 5th out of all the flute players who tried out for this honor.
Leslie has made the GMEA All-District Band every year since the 6th grade and All-State twice before.
The GMEA All-State Honor Band will take place at the Savannah Civic Center in Savannah, Georgia on March 1-3 with a final performance on Saturday, March 3.
Leslie is the daughter of Byron and Sandy Thompson of Trenton.
The director of bands for Dade County is Jim Gladson.
