DMS Band Members Participate in UGA Music Festival
Several DMS band students were selected to participate in the 2006 University of Georgia's Middle School Festival.
Eighth grade students participating include: Aaron Raines, Lucas Walker, and Matt Wheeler. Seventh grade students participating include: Tim Clark, Zach Langley, David Ragsdale, and Sammy Vyas.
The students left school and noon on Thursday and traveled to Athens where they auditioned for their placement in one of the seven "all-star" bands.
Over 900 students from all over Georgia will rehearse with special guest conductors in preparation for concerts to be presented on Saturday afternoon.
Congratulations to these students for this honor.
