Davis Elementary School Receives $50,000 from Sweepstakes
Dade County resident, Beverly Hawkins, recently won a $50,000 sweepstakes sponsored by General Mills to be donated to a school of her choice.
Mrs. Hawkins chose Davis Elementary on Sand Mountain to be the school to receive the funds and the Pillbury Doughboy was on hand to present a check to the school on Tuesday, December 5 in the school gymnasium.
The sweepstakes was part of the Box Tops for Education program. This prize is the second largest to ever be awarded in the program.
