Dade Students Serve as Pages in Georgia Senate
On February 2, 2007, six Dade County students traveled to the Georgia State Capitol Building where they served as pages for the Senate.
The students, Elizabeth Lockhart, Leslie Bradford, Emily Bankson, Stephanie Lockhart, Angel Tyson, and Ellie Bradford represented Dade County as pages for Senator Jeff Mullis.
In a letter of invitation, Senator Mullis stated, "...it is always an honor to have constituents visit the Capitol to view the legislative process. As a page, you will not only get a first hand look at the function of our governmental structure, but you will participate in the process. The services that you will provide as a page are invaluable and appreciated not only by every legislator, but by every citizen of the State of Georgia."
During the day's proceedings, three of the Dade County students had a special proclomation read in their honor. Elizabeth and Stephanie Lockhart were honored for 12 years of perfect attendance in school while their younger sister, Angel Tyson was honored for 8 years of perfect attendance.
Congratulations to these girls on their fine representation of Dade County.
