DCHS Football Team Competes at Region Weight Lifting Meet
Members of the Dade County High School Football Team recently competed in the Region Weight Lifting Meet. Scoring 31 points, the team took 2nd place out of the 33 teams represented at the event.
The top six teams were Woodland (40 points), Dade (31 points), Trion (30 points), Sequoyah (28 points), Coosa (25 points), and Kennesaw Mountain (24 points).
Placing for Dade County were Cody McNabb (1st in 140 class), Scottie Talley (6th in 160 class), Tyler Wright (1st in 170 class), Taylor Everett (5th in 225 class), and Chris Floyd (2nd in 246+ class).
This is the team's third year to compete in the Region Meet. Each year the team has shown much improvement...bringing home 7th place last year and 17th place two years ago.
Dade County's top three lifters (Cody, Tyler, and Chris) were given the opportunity to travel to Perry, Georgia to compete at the state level.
