The Davis Elementary Media Center received a complete renovation in the Spring of 2021.  All new flooring, paint, bookshelves, circulation desk, tables and seating were added. It has created a space that is very child friendly and usable that will be treasured by our students and staff for years to come.  Special thanks is extended to our board of education and everyone that contributed to this remodel.

Our Davis Media Center is located in the center of the Davis Elementary School. With that in mind, it is also the heart of a learning community, as it serves students, faculty, and administration.  The Davis Media Center holds approximately 20,000 materials, including books, e-books, leveled library materials, videos, equipment, and professional teaching resources.

Students are welcome to use the library whenever their classroom schedule permits, to browse, read, research or select and check out materials. Classes also visit the library weekly for grade-appropriate lessons based on the Georgia Standards of Excellence and the AASL (American Association of School Library) standards as well as for library/research skills and book exchange. Books circulate for one week and may be renewed. Students in K-2 may sign out one book at a time, while students in grades 3rd-5th may borrow two. Parents are welcome, too, to borrow books during school hours on Monday's, Wednesday's, and Friday's.

Our library also subscribes to Overdrive, and Tumblebooks.  For more information about these free sites, please email Wendy Wilburn, at the above email address.
