Personal:

  • I currently reside in Fort Payne, AL where I was born and raised. Many often wonder why I drive 45 minutes to and from work each day, to which I respond, “Davis Elementary is well worth the drive.”
  • Education is in my blood! My mother was a teacher for 41 years. Both of her parents were teachers as well. My grandmother, Juanita Hardy, became a high school principal in Gadsden, AL during the time of integration in the 1960s. She was a very passionate and caring person, who was greatly admired throughout Gadsden and the surrounding areas. Although she passed on when I was very young, I still remember her and strive to be like her as both a person and an educator.
  • Music ministry is a major part of my life! I love to sing and did so in a contemporary Christian trio for 13 years, which allowed me the opportunity to sing and minister at numerous churches/events around the tri-state area. Currently, I am one of the choir directors at my church and occasionally give voice lessons to those seeking to minister through music.
  • Fall is my favorite time of the year! Like so many others, I love bonfires, boots, pumpkins, and every other sign of fall; however, my favorite part of the season is getting to yell “ROLL TIDE” while watching Alabama football!
